The issue:
Transform a studio into a friendly and flexible place for 4 persons.
The furniture in this studio had not moved for 30 years, it quickly needed a refreshment. Bye bye the grandmother furniture and the lack of privacy, we brought the clarity and conviviality while maintaining the open space.
Open on the outside by a large but one unique bay window we could not afford to partition really the room. This necessitated ingenuity to allocate functions in the space and to give the feeling of a bigger accommodation.
Master bedroom has settled in central position, created by a glass wall which keeps the prospect and a wall /furniture offering storage space. The child corner is a "mountain corner"(bunk bed hidden by a curtain) open to the rest of the studio. So we built an atypical but very practical space, with fairly wide circulation spaces to accommodate a family holiday.
