Ymédia
Individual project
Proximity, relational skills and savoir-faire :Levers of innovations of the spatial and service design for a human-scale structure.
In a socio-economic context in trouble, efficiency is often more important than the idea of leisure and quality in the consumer purchasing journey.
The objective of this project aims to change the approach of the consumer in the shopping process, by questioning the identity and service in order to rediscover the city differently.
The city center has, at all times, been the focal heart of the city, a meeting place for all kinds of exchanges encouraging merchants to settle there.
Today, the uses are evolving and small businesses must follow to renew to meet consumer expectations.
Consumers are now wary of supermarkets and return to the small business, to find quality, consulting, human scale. In addition, a majority seeks to maximize his time, looking for the "drive" service or using the cross canal.
After this designer diagnosis, I imagined the idea of a mobile experimentation structure called Ymédia.
This shrine to the geometric lines hosts two services, one side with chilled lockers, and on the other side, furnitures to organize commercial activities.
The first service "click & check" allows consumers to subscribe, via Internet, to receive a hamper every 2 weeks. The occasional customers can also access a basket because 9 lockers are devoted to them. The products are from the traders network of the city and are selected by them.
The second service favors the pedestrian pace and invites passers-by to discover the savoir-faire of the traders network. Indeed traders can use a deployable covered space, with modular colored furniture for commercial animations.
